Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer III for our High Performance Building Group.

This role is remote and/or hybrid-friendly, suitable for many locations across the United States in EST and CT time zones. You will lead civil design for facilities and infrastructure, perform analyses, and support planning through construction phases on federal, commercial, manufacturing, renewable energy, data centers, microgrids, and public health projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
3-5 years of experience in stormwater design, land development, and water systems.
Mentoring and/or supervisory experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and respond to client needs.
Willingness to travel nationwide (approximately 30%).
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead and support civil design including site layout, utility designs, grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
Analyze data and review project work products, including technical reports and cost estimates.
Interact with clients and support client management efforts.
Mentor/lead staff as a civil engineer lead.
Monitor work output to maintain quality of work product.
Interpret UFC, state stormwater regulations, and local site development rules.
Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, GeoSTORM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Apply civil and environmental engineering principles to grading, utilities, traffic access, and wetlands.
