Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our High Performance Building Group. This role supports facilities and infrastructure across the U.S. with remote, hybrid, or in-office options in EST/CT time zones.

Responsibilities include civil design, site layout, drainage, modeling with HEC-RAS/GeoSTORM/AutoCAD Civil 3D, client interaction, and mentoring staff. Travel up to 30% may be required and a PE license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• 3–5 years of experience in stormwater design and land development.
• Experience mentoring/supervising staff helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil design including site layout and utilities.
• Analyze data, reviews and prepare technical reports and cost estimates.
• Coordinate client interactions and manage client expectations.
• Mentor/lead staff as civil engineer lead.
• Ensure quality of work products and compliance with UFC and local regulations.
• Conduct hydrologic/hydraulic modeling with industry software.
