Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our Civil Engineering team. This role is remote and/or hybrid-friendly and can be performed from a wide range of locations across the US in EST and CT time zones.

The position focuses on high performance building group, with work across federal, commercial, manufacturing, renewable energy, data centers, microgrids and public health facilities, providing planning, design, and construction phase engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineering license is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in stormwater design, land development, water systems, and related infrastructure.
• Willing to travel across the United States (approx. 30%).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil design including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage.
• Review technical data, reports, cost estimates, and environmental permits.
• Engage with clients and support client management.
• Mentor staff as a civil engineer lead.
• Ensure quality of work and adherence to UFC and local codes.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with HEC-RAS, GeoSTORM, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Apply civil/environmental engineering principles to projects including wetlands impacts.
