Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Telecom Engineer to join its telecommunications team. The role is primarily remote but requires living within about an hour of a hospital location for onsite support when needed for projects, critical issues, or escalations.

The candidate should be a mid-level (Level II-III) Telecom Engineer with strong Cisco voice experience capable of supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing a complex enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications engineering and voice systems.
• Strong Cisco voice experience and enterprise voice administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot, support, and enhance complex voice environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and administer Cisco-based voice and telecommunications systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated voice and call routing issues.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of telecom infrastructure projects.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately once every six weeks).
• Automate and streamline telecom processes, including voicemail management and extension routing.
