Job summary

RTX is seeking a Directory Services Engineer to own and operate the External Identity Directory platform and its cloud infrastructure. You will ensure reliability, performance, and security of identity services supporting customer-facing and partner integrations.

You will architect secure identity solutions, maintain lifecycle processes, and collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to drive continuous improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Identity/Directory Services or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience with authentication protocols such as SAML 2.0, OIDC/OAuth 2.0, LDAP.
• Experience with an enterprise directory services platform.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain the External Identity Directory (PingDS) and AWS infrastructure.
• Design secure, scalable identity solutions for B2B/B2C scenarios and partner inte-grations.
• Define platform roadmaps, standards, and runbooks.
• Establish robust identity lifecycle processes (registration, verification, profile management).
• Lead migration of External Identity Directory Services to RTX cloud environment.
• Collaborate with application teams to onboard services and design secure integration patterns.
