Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP in the United States seeks a Manager for our Accounting Advisory practice on a national team with remote flexibility and travel as needed for specific projects.

You will manage multiple client relationships with a team of professionals providing consulting around technical accounting and SEC financial reporting, and you will review GAAP/IFRS matters and SEC filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• 5+ years in public accounting or industry with audit, controllership, or consulting for SEC filers.
• Strong technical accounting experience.
• Exposure to month-end close or quarterly reporting process.
• Robust written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial close and improve close processes.
• Assist with cash to accrual accounting and opening balance sheet preparation.
• Assist with audit readiness.
• Lead technical accounting projects on ASC 480, 606, 718, 805, 815, or 842 and IPO/SPAC matters.
• Prepare and review financial statements and schedules for public filings (10-Q or 10-K).
