Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Manager specializing in Not-for-Profit organizations to lead a national remote Advisory team. You will manage multiple client relationships, oversee engagements, and guide complex accounting initiatives in GAAP for NFP entities.

Travel up to 40% is expected for project delivery and on-site updates. The role requires a CPA and a minimum of five years in public accounting or industry experience with not-for-profit sectors, including financial reporting, month-end close,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• Five or more years of public accounting/industry experience with Not-for-Profit entities.

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and oversee engagement management.
• Lead finance function buildout, process improvements, and internal controls for not-for-profit clients.
• Support audits including Single Audits and compliance audits.
• Guide ASC 958 and revenue recognition for contributions vs. exchange transactions.
• Assist with financial reporting, footnotes, and donor-restricted funds reporting.
• Provide recommendations on finance policies, procedures, and operating model.
