Job summary

Wahojobs is seeking a freelance CFD engineer to help train and evaluate AI agents on expert‑level fluid simulations. You will take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.

Work fully remote on your own schedule. Tasks are estimated at 10–20 hours per week during active phases, with compensation up to $69 per hour equivalent and potential performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field such as energy or oil & gas.
• Several years of hands-on industry or research CFD with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation practice: mesh-independence studies, and validation against experiment or benchmarks.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.
• Nice to have: aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow experience.
