Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a CFD-focused freelancer to train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulations. You will import CAD geometries, configure simulations, and create verified reference solutions, then implement Python checks to validate results.

The role is fully remote with flexible hours (10–20 hours per week during active phases) and offers compensation up to $69 per hour depending on experience and pace. Prior CFD with OpenFOAM/ANSYS is highly valued.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred but not required.
• Several years of hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM or commercial solvers including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation practice with mesh-independence studies.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub; good English (B2 or higher).

Responsibilities

• Help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks.
• You'll take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions.
• Write Python checks for the agent's results.
