Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a freelancer to train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks. You will take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.

This remote role offers flexible hours of about 10–20 hours per week during active phases, with compensation up to $69 per hour depending on level and pace. Prior CFD with OpenFOAM or ANSYS and Python skills are valued.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred but not required.
• Several years of hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation practice: mesh-independence studies and validation vs experiments/benchmarks.
• Proficient with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.
• Nice to have: aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow experience.
