Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a CFD specialist to help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulations. You will take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.

This is a fully remote freelance role with around 10–20 hours per week during active phases. You can earn up to $69 per hour, depending on level and pace, with potential performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; PhD preferred but not required.
• Several years in industry or research CFD using OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+.
• Proficient in verification and validation, mesh-independence studies, and benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level CFD tasks.
• Set up simulations from CAD geometry and run them.
• Write Python checks for the agent's results.
• Build verified reference solutions.
