Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a remote freelance CFD engineer to help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulations. You will handle CAD geometry, set up the simulations, and create verified reference solutions. The role requires several years of CFD hands-on experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, plus Python and GitHub proficiency.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or aerospace engineering degree or related field.
• Several years of hands-on CFD experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+ including meshing.
• Solid verification/validation: mesh-independence studies and experiments/benchmarks.
• Proficiency in Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulations.
• Process CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, and build reference solutions.
• Write Python checks to verify agent results and contribute to platform quality.
