Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a CFD-focused freelancer to help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulations. You will take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.

We expect a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering background with hands-on CFD using OpenFOAM, ANSYS, and meshing. Remote work is supported, with a flexible schedule and project-based hours.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field; a PhD is preferred but not required.
• Several years of hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation practice: mesh-independence studies and validation against experiment or benchmarks.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.
