Mindrift is seeking a remote freelance CFD expert to train and evaluate AI agents on advanced fluid simulation tasks. You will work with CAD geometries, set up simulations, and generate verified reference solutions while delivering Python-based validation checks.

Requirements include a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering degree (PhD preferred), several years of hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, and solid verification/validation practice.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred but not required.
• Several years of hands-on CFD with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation practice: mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks.
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub.
• English at B2 level or above.
• Nice to have: aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow experience.

Responsabilités

• Help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks.
• Take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for agent results.
• Write Python checks to verify agent results and ensure reproducibility.
