Mindrift is seeking a CFD-focused engineer to help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks. You will take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for the agent's results.

The role requires a Mechanical or Aerospace background, with hands-on CFD experience using OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+ and solid verification/validation practice.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field (energy/oil & gas)
• PhD preferred but not required
• Several years of hands-on CFD experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+ including meshing
• Solid verification and validation practices: mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks
• Proficiency in Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above
• Nice to have: aerospace/automotive/offshore/turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow experience
