Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an Aerodynamics Expert to support an AI training project involving CFD, aerodynamic analysis, engineering simulations, and Python. This contractor role is remote worldwide with approximately 15 hours per week and a pay rate of $80–$130 per hour.

The successful candidate will develop CFD models, run Python-driven workflows, and validate results across lift, drag, and pressure metrics, while diagnosing mesh and solver issues to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, or BS + 1–2 years of relevant aerodynamics experience.
• Strong aerodynamics and CFD knowledge with practical Python experience.
• Experience with CLI/programmatic tools such as OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
• Develop computational models, geometries, meshes, and solver configurations.
• Run and automate CFD workflows using Python and CLI-based tools.
• Analyze lift, drag, pressure, velocity, and other simulation results.
• Diagnose mesh, convergence, stability, turbulence, and boundary-condition issues.
• Perform validation, sanity checks, and mesh-independence studies.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy.
