Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks an Aerodynamics Expert to support an AI training project with CFD and Python-based simulations. This remote, part-time contractor role offers ~15 hours per week and hourly pay.

You will develop models, run CFD workflows, validate results, and review AI-generated engineering outputs for accuracy. Requires MS/PhD or BS with relevant experience, strong CFD tools, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or BS with 1–2 years aerodynamics experience.
• Strong aerodynamics and CFD knowledge with practical Python experience.
• Experience with CLI/programmatic tools such as OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy or equivalent.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical reasoning and engineering trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
• Develop computational models, geometries, meshes, and solver configurations.
• Run and automate CFD workflows using Python and CLI-based tools.
• Analyze lift, drag, pressure, velocity, and other simulation results.
• Diagnose mesh, convergence, stability, turbulence, and boundary-condition issues.
• Perform validation, sanity checks, and mesh-independence studies.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy.
