YO AI Labs is seeking a highly skilled Aerodynamics Expert for a remote, globally distributed project. The role focuses on CFD analysis, Python-based workflow automation, and creation of robust computational models for AI-assisted engineering tasks.

The candidate will validate simulations, troubleshoot complex mesh and solver issues, and review AI-generated solutions for technical accuracy. This is a contract engagement with flexible hours and international collaboration.

Qualifications

MS/PhD in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or BS + 1–2 years aerodynamics experience.
Strong aerodynamics and CFD knowledge with Python experience.
Experience with CLI/programmatic tools like OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, SciPy or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Solve and validate aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics problems.
Develop computational models, geometries, meshes, and solver configurations.
Run and automate CFD workflows using Python and CLI-based tools.
Analyze lift, drag, pressure, velocity, and other simulation results.
Diagnose mesh, convergence, stability, turbulence, and boundary-condition issues.
Perform validation, sanity checks, and mesh-independence studies.
Review AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy.
