Job summary

First American's Mortgage Solutions team is hiring remote property valuers to support our growing valuation services across the U.S. You will conduct unbiased appraisals, document site information, and communicate findings to stakeholders, adhering to government, company and client guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree, an active appraiser license or certification, and strong analytical and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Active Appraiser license or certification required by state.
• Strong analytical and narrative writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work remotely with varying client-driven deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conducts unbiased assessments of market areas, analyzes data, and develops property value estimates.
• Documents on-site assessments with photos, measurements, and demographic information.
• Draws land diagrams and other visual documentation.
• Considers factors influencing property value including land, neighborhoods, trends and features.
• Generates fee quotes and presents evaluations to buyers, sellers, investors, creditors, and agents.
• Collaborates with Lead Appraiser to resolve requests and improve processes.
• Participates in monthly Appraiser meetings and meets turn-time expectations.
