Job summary

First American Mortgage Solutions is hiring remote, nationwide appraisers to support its valuation services team. You will assess market areas, analyze data, and develop property value estimates following government, company, regulatory, and client guidelines.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree, an active appraiser license, and strong analytical and writing skills. You will interact with buyers, sellers, investors, lenders, and agents, delivering clear, well-supported evaluations from a

Qualifications

• Minimum 0–1 year of related mortgage/appraisal experience.
• Experience in REO appraisals preferred.
• HUD/FHA experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Ability to meet varying client-driven deadlines.
• Strong analytical and narrative writing skills; ability to analyze data and summarize results.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, accurate environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to diverse audiences including appraisers, vendors, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills with multi-tasking and follow-up abilities.
• Active Appraiser license or state certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct unbiased assessments of market areas and property data to estimate value according to guidelines.
• Document on-site assessments with photos, measurements, and comparable data.
• Draw land diagrams and visual documentation for reports.
• Consider factors influencing value such as land, neighborhoods, trends, and property features.
• Generate fee quotes for valuations.
• Present evaluations and value estimates to buyers, sellers, investors, lenders and agents.
• Collaborate with Lead Appraiser to resolve requests and improve processes.
• Attend monthly Appraiser meetings.
• Meet department turn-time expectations and escalate when deadlines are at risk.
