Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a 100% remote contract position. You will evaluate prior authorization requests against clinical criteria and communicate outcomes to physicians and pharmacy staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma, state licensure, PTCB/NHA certification, and 1+ year in retail or call center pharmacy. Shifts are 8 hours within CST, five days a week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State registration/license required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
• 1+ year experience in retail or call center pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and authorize approval of pharmacy requests based on clinical criteria, documenting prior authorization outcomes and communicating coverage.
• Determine the appropriateness of medications and communicate decisions to physicians and staff.
• Escalate requests requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist.

Education

High school diploma or GED

1+ years of experience in retail or call center pharmacy environment
