Job summary

Actalent seeks a Fully Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician to evaluate and authorize prior authorization requests in a call center setting. You will review clinical criteria, document outcomes, and communicate coverage and formulary alternatives to prescribers and staff.

Requirements include a valid national certification (PTCB or NHA), state registration, and 1+ year of retail or call center experience. This contract role is fully remote with CST hours and offers a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA).
• State registration/license required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or call center pharmacy.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and authorize pharmacy requests based on clinical criteria and document outcomes.
• Communicate formulary coverage and alternatives to prescribers and staff.
• Escalate complex cases to a pharmacist per guidelines.
