This remote Pharmacy Technician role supports patient care, doctors, and facilities via phone, handling prescription data, authorizations, and transfers while upholding confidentiality and accuracy.

The position requires high school completion, PTCB/NHA certification, and state registration, with prior pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be certified with the PTCB or NHA and maintain a current certificate.
• Pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must be 18+ years of age; prior experience in a pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience daily in a phone-based environment.
• Enter a high volume of data with speed and accuracy; process prescription information.
• Receive prescription authorizations, clarifications or transfers using sound drug knowledge.
• Perform claim adjudication and billing/eligibility checks; manage prior authorizations.
• Conduct outbound calls to patients and maintain patient records with confidentiality.
