Ideal candidates will have a vocational/certificate program in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines, plus Professional Coder certification.

Qualifications

• Vocational/certificate program in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines.
• Certification as a Professional Coder or equivalent coding certification.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding, along with medical billing compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, including Excel and 10-key data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Code hospital, ambulatory surgical center, and clinic services using ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Maintain coding quality and productivity standards while tracking and reporting coding activities
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance coding quality and workflow efficiencies
