Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Washington Licensed HIM Coder II to work remotely in a full-time capacity. You will code hospital and clinic services using ICD-9 and ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining coding quality and productivity, reporting coding activity, and participating in staff meetings and training to support teamwork and workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Completion of a vocational school or certificate program in medical terminology, anatomy, and coding guidelines.
• Certification as a Professional Coder or equivalent coding certification.
• Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding along with medical billing compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Windows environment, including Excel and 10-key data entry.
• Ability to abstract medical information from electronic or paper medical records.

Responsibilities

• Code hospital and clinic services by assigning ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes using encoding software.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity standards while tracking and reporting coding activities as required.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to support team communication and workflow improvements.
