Job summary

Logan Health is seeking a credentialed medical coder for a fully remote, full-time position. The role focuses on assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient records, abstracting essential data for reimbursement, and handling billing-related data entry.

Remote work is supported with state approvals. The ideal candidate holds a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/CCS/CPC/AAPC) and has at least one year of coding experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD 10 CM and CPT 4 coding guidelines and practices.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/CCS/CPC/AAPC) required.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records across varied settings.
• Review medical records for accuracy, deficiencies, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure coding reflects diagnosed conditions and procedures per standards.
• Review charges for accuracy and medical necessity of tests and procedures.
• Maintain timely follow-up on accounts on hold and coordinate with departments.
