Job summary

Saint Francis Health System is seeking a Coder III Specialist for a remote, full‑time position. The role codes ER, outpatient services, outpatient surgeries, observations, and inpatient records, requiring AHIMA CCS certification and at least 3 years of related experience.

The candidate must demonstrate strong ICD-10 knowledge, anatomy & physiology understanding, and PC/software proficiency. Excellent accuracy and productivity targets (≥95%) are expected, with ongoing continuing education

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) by AHIMA is required.
• Minimum of 3 years related coding experience and passing score of 80% on outpatient/inpatient coding exams.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and anatomy & physiology.
• Proficient with PC software and coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Code ER, outpatient, outpatient surgeries, observations and inpatient records.
• Handle CC I/medical necessity edits as needed.
• Monitor unbilled records for all patient types on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Maintain quality and productivity targets (≥95%).
• Complete continuing education requirements.
