Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Coder III Specialist certified with AHIMA CCS to code ER, outpatient, outpatient surgeries, observations and inpatient records. A minimum of 3 years of coding experience and an 80%+ score on outpatient/inpatient exams are required.

Candidates should demonstrate strong ICD-10 knowledge, PC software proficiency, and the ability to work independently while ensuring quality and productivity benchmarks are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) by AHIMA required.
• Minimum 3 years related experience and must score 80%+ on outpatient/inpatient coding exam.

Responsibilities

• Codes ERs, outpatients, outpatient surgeries, observations and inpatients.
• Works CCIs/medical necessity edits as needed.
• Monitors unbilled codes across patient types daily.
• Maintains quality >= 95%.
• Maintains productivity >= 95%.
• Completes continuing education as required.
