Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a Central Scheduling Representative for virtual check-in/out, Monday through Friday 7:30am–5:30pm. You will handle scheduling requests for patients using an automated call distribution system, register patients in the EMR, verify demographics and insurance, and direct inquiries to appropriate care teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, first-call resolution, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1 year previous related experience required.
• Accuracy and attention to detail with high data integrity.
• Analytical thinking and root-cause problem solving.
• Calendaring software knowledge and office scheduling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and register patients in the EMR per clinical/insurance requirements.
• Use telephony and scheduling systems to handle calls and digital requests efficiently.
• Verify demographics and insurance eligibility; resolve inquiries per protocol.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance requirements to maximize benefits.
• Maintain data accuracy and support performance targets.
