Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Central Scheduler to handle scheduling requests for patients and families using an automated call distribution system. You will schedule appointments, triage inquiries, and direct callers to the appropriate care areas, contributing to first-call resolution and accurate registration.

You will use the EMR and scheduling tools to confirm appointments, verify demographics and insurance, and coordinate referrals and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Analytical thinking to identify root causes and resolve issues.
• Calendar management using scheduling software.
• Customer interaction and service mindset.
• Knowledge of scheduling workflows and patient data handling.
• Proficient in computers; typing 35 WPM; medical terminology knowledge.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and register patients across the Jefferson Health System.
• Use EMR to confirm appointments, verify demographics and insurance benefits.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance requirements for benefits.
• Utilize central scheduling software to handle call volume and digital requests.
