Job summary

Greenbrook Medical seeks a CDI Coding Specialist (Coder) to validate documentation and support high‑quality care for seniors. This remote role focuses on accurate ICD‑10 coding, HCC risk adjustment, and collaboration with clinical teams to improve outcomes.

You’ll review charts, abstract data from multiple sources, and educate providers on best practices. Remote U.S. applicants in suitable time zones are welcome.

Qualifications

• CPC certification required.
• 3+ years CMS-HCC risk adjustment or HCC coding.
• 3+ years of ICD-10 coding experience.
• 1+ year of HEDIS/Stars experience.
• Experience with prospective and concurrent workflows.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Apply ICD-10 coding with diagnosis validation in medical records.
• Collaborate with providers to clarify documentation.
• Abstract clinical information from hospital claims, radiology reports, and notes.
• Review charts to ensure codes are fully supported.
• Educate clinicians on HCC coding and documentation best practices.
• Maintain data quality and protect confidentiality.
