Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises is seeking a Casualty Team Manager for a remote role in Costa Mesa, CA. You will coordinate, direct and coach a claims team to ensure regulatory compliance and best-in-class customer service.

Responsibilities include reviewing claims for quality, coaching staff, resolving issues, recruiting and developing talent, and leading management-aligned meetings to drive performance. Travel may be occasional; industry knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• 4-6 years casualty claims handling required with litigation experience.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience required.
• Advanced organizational, planning and delegation skills.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review claim files regularly for quality and monitor performance metrics.
• Coach and counsel employees on performance in a timely manner.
• Resolve customer service issues through effective communication and monitoring of concerns and satisfaction.
• Recruit and develop staff to support succession planning.
• Lead meetings with unit management to communicate goals and reinforce performance expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry developments and best practices.
