Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Casualty Evaluator in a remote role available across the United States (except Hawaii and Alaska). You will handle auto liability claims with injury exposure, often representing unrepresented or attorney-represented claimants, and decide settlements within authority up to $50,000.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ related work experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Good command of the English language and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Handle mostly simple to moderate auto liability claims with injury exposure.
• Own claims with authority for settlement up to $50,000.
• Investigate, negotiate and settle injury claims and assess subrogation.
• Communicate in writing, by telephone and by email.
• Support catastrophe and homeowner-related activities as needed.
• Attend settlement conferences and, on rare occasions, arbitrations or trials.
