Job summary

Pennant Services is seeking a senior AR/cash posting leader to oversee cash posting and collections across home health and hospice agencies. The role partners with Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders to maintain best-practice AR processes and ensure contract adherence.

The candidate will train Cash Posters, work with payors, and support compliance with Medicare/Medicaid regulations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of cash posting experience.
• Three+ years in healthcare billing and collections management, preferably home health/hospice.
• Experience with eClinical Works, HCHB, and Excel is required.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates accountability for collection efforts and procedures for Executive Directors and Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders.
• Provides coverage for cash posters during short-term or unexpected absences.
• Partners with cluster leaders to train Cash Posters.
• Develops positive, collaborative relationships with Portfolio Billers and Collectors.
• Maintains working knowledge of payor contracts and ensures payments align with provisions.
• Maintains knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and serves as a resource.
• Partners on payor projects with AR Leaders and Billing Managers.
• Attends Agency BAM meetings to report on collections.
• Reviews, researches, and posts various fund types daily.
• Prepares cash reports and performs daily reconciliations.
• Resolves discrepancies by coordinating with internal teams.
• Researches and clears unidentified cash accounts monthly.
• Manages automated payment files and handles exceptions.
