Job summary

Cardinal Health Sonexus Access and Patient Support helps specialty manufacturers remove barriers to care so patients can access, afford and stay on therapy.

The Case Manager role supports patient access through Reimbursement Support Services, guiding providers through referral intake, benefit investigations and prior authorizations, while coordinating with payers and pharmacies to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-6 years experience in related field preferred.
• Experience with major medical Fertility and Travel & Lodging BI preferred.
• 1-2 years experience conducting and documenting patient health insurance benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercially insured payer practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide providers through patient onboarding and reimbursement steps.
• Investigate insurance benefits, initiate prior authorizations and step therapy reviews.
• Proactive follow-up with insurance payers, specialty pharmacies, and support organizations.
• Ensure clear written and verbal communication; meet daily task and investigation goals.
