Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a remote Case Manager to support patient access to therapy through Reimbursement Support Services. You will guide healthcare providers through referral intake, benefits investigations, and prior authorizations, coordinating with payers and specialty pharmacies to ensure timely delivery.

The role emphasizes accuracy, fast follow-up, and clear communication, with a schedule Monday–Friday during CT business hours and a full-time remote setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient health insurance benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercially insured payer practices preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal format
• Experience with HIPAA regulations and reimbursement processes preferred

Responsibilities

• Guide healthcare providers through patient journey to therapy
• Investigate patient insurance benefits and initiate prior authorization and step therapy reviews
• Proactively follow up with payers, specialty pharmacies, and support organizations
• Ensure timely coverage and delivery of product
• Demonstrate efficiency and strong organizational skills
• Resolve complex payer/pharmacy issues toward positive outcomes
