Lightning Logistics is a fully remote freight brokerage hiring a Carrier Sales Representative with at least one year of carrier sales experience. The role offers a base salary plus commission and requires negotiating rates, posting loads on DAT, and building a dependable network of repeat carriers for key lanes.

You will source, negotiate, and book carriers, manage capacity, and maintain clear records while thriving in a fully remote environment.

Qualificações

• At least one year of carrier sales experience in freight brokerage or 3PL.
• Hands-on experience posting loads and sourcing capacity on DAT.
• Strong rate negotiation skills and the ability to close bookings.
• Understanding of trailer types and shipment requirements.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Responsabilidades

• Source, negotiate with, and book carriers while protecting margins and service quality.
• Post and manage loads on DAT, respond to inquiries, and proactively reach out to carriers.
• Negotiate rates using market conditions, lane knowledge, and equipment availability.
• Match loads with trailer types and confirm equipment meets shipment requirements.
• Build strong carrier relationships and develop a network of repeat carriers for frequent lanes.
• Learn carriers’ lanes, capacity, and schedules to create ongoing opportunities.
• Communicate shipment details and expectations, coordinate with operations, and resolve issues.
• Maintain records of carrier conversations, rates, bookings, and service performance.
