Job summary

Quarterback Transportation is seeking a motivated Logistics Specialist for a remote role, open to applicants located anywhere in the United States. You will negotiate rates, dispatch carriers, and manage the carrier portfolio to support our freight operations.

You will build relationships, source new carriers, communicate shipment details, and collaborate with senior management to set strategic direction. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and multi-state geography

Qualifications

• 2+ years of freight brokerage/dispatching experience.
• Must be a team player and provide leadership.
• Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
• Effective listening and strong communication with drivers, customers and staff.
• Knowledge of multi-state geography.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates, dispatch and assign carriers to customers' shipments.
• Manage carrier portfolio and develop strong relationships for preferred lanes.
• Continually source new carriers for portfolio and growth.
• Proactively communicate shipment details to/from motor carriers and internal team.
• Collaborate with senior management to help define strategic direction.
