Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Minute Clinic Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner (Provider) to deliver holistic, evidence-based care remotely for patients 18 months and up. This 6-month PRN role requires 20+ hours per week, including some weekends, with current unrestricted licensure in the US and potential for additional licensure as needed.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted licensure in any US state/district.
• Minimum of two years of medically-relevant experience or equivalent.
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability and flexibility.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously.
• Proficient with information management and technology.
• Capacity to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care.
• Spanish language proficiency may be required in some markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidence-based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients aged 18 months and older.
• Evaluate primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients with education and counseling.
• Provide patient counseling on contraception and STI prevention and medication management.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and respond to inquiries.
• Document all patient care in an EHR according to policies.
• Coordinate care with internal and external colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
• Work with a patient care team including Providers, physicians, paraprofessionals, pharmacists and others.
• Work independently, prioritize tasks, take initiative, and advocate for patients.
