Job summary

Ascend Medical in Duluth, GA seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with patient intake, triage, and exam prep. You’ll manage telehealth scheduling, assist with EMR documentation, and coordinate referrals and follow-up care with a patient-centered approach.

Requirements include a high school diploma, accredited MA program, CPR certification, and at least 2 years MA experience. CCMA preferred. Flexible schedule in a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare preparation.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years MA experience in healthcare setting.
• Must be CPR certified and current.

Responsibilities

• Book telehealth appointments and triage patients virtually; document interviews and chief complaints in EMR.
• Facilitate telehealth visits; ensure equipment is operable and orient patients to technology.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with referrals and routine screenings.
• Collaborate with Care Coordinators to align care plans and follow-up appointments.
