Job summary

Amgen is seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager for Cardiovascular to lead strategic activity with top health systems in the Portland, OR area. You will drive access, implement plans, and coordinate with field teams and MSLs to optimize cardiovascular product utilization.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with hospital decision-makers, negotiation with payors, and delivering compliant messages and data to support patient access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree & 2 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience.
• Master’s degree & 4 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience.
• 3+ years of account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree (e.g. MPH, MBA, PharmD, etc.) 7+ years of healthcare sales and/or marketing experience or related experience in buying processes and decision making.
• Cardiology experience, including dyslipidemia, heart failure and acute coronary syndromes, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as strategic lead for assigned key accounts, executing compliant, innovative strategies to engage priority providers.
• Ensure institutional availability across inpatient and ambulatory care settings.
• Lead implementation initiatives that enable sustainable, institution/system utilization.
• Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned to cardiovascular business unit strategy.
• Collaborates with field teams and aligned medical science liaison(s) as appropriate.
