Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Professional coder certification with AHIMA/AAPC credentials.
• 2+ years experience coding ICD-10 and CPT in cardiology.

Responsabilidades

• Review provider documentation to assign diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Abstract and code professional fee services for non-invasive cardiology procedures.
• Apply CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS with modifiers per guidelines.
• Ensure documentation supports billed procedures.
• Identify documentation gaps and obtain clarifications from providers.
• Handle edits, denials, and audits to support reimbursement.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Stay updated on coding regulations and payer guidelines.
