Qualifications

• Professional coder certification with AHIMA and/or AAPC maintained annually.
• 2+ years of experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding in healthcare.
• Experience in a Windows PC environment and EMR systems (Epic).

Responsibilities

• Assigns accurate diagnostic and procedure codes per clinical docs and guidelines for Cardiology.
• Assigns CPT and ICD-10 codes to all services.
• Monitors work queues to ensure timely charging and coding.
• Generates coding queries for documentation clarification as needed.
• Keeps up with changes in coding conventions and updates.
• Manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• All other duties as assigned.
