Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks an experienced manager to lead a team supporting capital investments across North America, focusing on material handling equipment (MHE) strategy and facility upkeep. You will oversee capital planning, budgeting, spend forecasting, and business-case development for equipment and building improvements.

Responsibilities include standardizing asset tracking, prioritizing roofs, RTUs, restrooms, parking lots, and related infrastructure, and presenting plans to executive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field preferred
• Advanced degree desired
• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Experience managing large-scale capital projects in distribution or manufacturing
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
• Strength in budgeting, spend forecasting, and business-case development
• Proficiency in SAP and Excel; strong data analysis skills
• Experience with asset-tracking modernization and data quality

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of project managers supporting North American operations, overseeing $50M–$70M in annual capital spend across MHE and facility infrastructure projects
• Develops and drives MHE and facility capital strategy, including asset lifecycle planning and make-vs-buy analysis
• Partners with site leaders to assess facility conditions and prioritize upkeep and improvements
• Leads modernization of asset tracking across North America for better visibility into condition and lifecycle costs
• Oversees project scope, planning, resource allocation, and capital deployment schedules
• Develops and maintains a 3–5 year capital plan and leads annual budgeting and monthly forecasts
• Ensures well-supported business cases aligned with safety, quality, and ROI objectives
• Prepares capital plans and funding requests for executive leadership
• Evaluates and selects suppliers/contractors and manages relationships to control costs
• Collaborates with Finance and stakeholders to align investments with priorities
