Cardinal Health is seeking a senior leader to head a North American team responsible for capital investments in material handling equipment and facility infrastructure. This role includes budgeting, forecasting, and presenting investment cases to executive leadership.

The position requires extensive experience in large-scale capital projects, collaboration with site leaders, and strong data-driven decision-making. Travel up to 50% is anticipated.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience managing large-scale capital projects in distribution or manufacturing environments (MHE, facility infra).
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams across North America.
• Strong budgeting, spend management, forecasting, and business case development skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze data for budgets and asset reports.
• Experience with asset-tracking modernization and asset data quality improvements; IBM Maximo a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Aufgaben

• Leads a team of project managers supporting North American operations, overseeing $50M–$70M in annual capital spend across MHE and facility infrastructure projects.
• Develops and drives MHE and facility capital strategy, including asset lifecycle planning, repair-versus-replacement decisions, spend benchmarking, bottom-up budget development, make-versus-buy analysis, and competitive bidding with stakeholders.
• Partners with site leaders to assess facility conditions and prioritize upkeep, repairs, and capital improvements for roofs, RTUs, restrooms, parking lots, and related infrastructure.
• Leads modernization of asset tracking across North America, standardizing asset records and improving data accuracy and visibility into asset condition, maintenance history, and lifecycle costs.
• Oversees project scope, planning, resource allocation, and capital deployment schedules to deliver projects on time and within budgets.
• Develops and maintains a three- to five-year capital plan, leads annual budgeting, and manages approved budgets, commitments, and actual spending with variance explanations.
• Ensures the team develops well-supported business cases aligning investments with priorities, safety, quality, and ROI objectives.
• Prepares and presents capital plans, business cases, budget requests, forecasts, and project updates to executives for funding approvals.
• Evaluates and selects suppliers and contractors, managing relationships to control costs and meet quality, service, and delivery expectations.
• Collaborate with site leaders, Finance, and other stakeholders across North America to anticipate investment needs and align priorities.
