Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a freelance CAD engineer in the United States to help train and evaluate AI agents that work inside a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and judge the agent's attempts, working alongside CFD engineers who simulate the geometry you build.

This fully remote role requires 5+ years of CAD modelling experience with major tools and an active CAD licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; Master's or PhD a plus.
• 5+ years CAD modelling experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or equivalent.
• Active professional CAD licence required.
• Proficiency with Python and GitHub.
• English at least B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI agents in a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks.
• Design part geometry and build reference solutions.
• Judge the agent's attempts and performance.
• Collaborate with CFD engineers who simulate your geometry.
