Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced C# / ASP.NET Application Engineer to maintain and enhance a C# ASP.NET web application with a SQL Server backend, SSIS packages, and AD integration. This role is fully remote within the United States.

You will maintain ASP.NET applications, support SQL Server databases, update SSIS packages, and manage SQL Server Agent jobs. The position requires strong C#, ASP.NET, T‑SQL, and AD/IIS experience, with a focus on secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with 12+ years of experience or commensurate professional experience.
• Strong C# and ASP.NET experience; solid T-SQL and SQL Server administration knowledge.
• Hands-on SSIS development and troubleshooting; experience with Active Directory and Windows Authentication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ASP.NET (MVC/Web API/Web Forms) applications, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
• Support SQL Server databases: queries, indexing, performance tuning.
• Update and deploy SSIS packages; manage SQL Server Agent jobs and troubleshoot failures.
• Design, query, and manage relational databases (SQL Server), including writing efficient T‑SQL and stored procedures.
• Configure and support AD authentication and IIS settings.
• Troubleshoot and debug across the full stack from UI to database and server layers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new features and troubleshoot issues.
