Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an experienced C# / ASP.NET Application Engineer to maintain and enhance a C# ASP.NET web application with a SQL Server backend, SSIS, AD integration, and SQL Server Agent scheduled jobs. This position is fully remote within the United States.

You will maintain and optimize database objects, write T-SQL, and ensure secure coding practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams and adhering to .NET standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong C# and ASP.NET experience; deep SQL Server knowledge.
• Hands-on SSIS development, AD and IIS administration, and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance ASP.NET MVC/Web API/Web Forms applications with SQL Server back end.
• Optimize SQL Server performance and manage SSIS packages and SQL Server Agent jobs.
• Configure AD authentication and IIS settings; ensure secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with DBAs and security teams to design features and troubleshoot.
• Review code, ensure quality, and stay current with the .NET ecosystem.
