Job summary

GCG Custom Engineered Solutions is seeking a Buyer to join the procurement team. You will plan and purchase raw materials for cable assembly operations, coordinating with internal teams to maintain material flow and meet production demand.

Responsibilities include managing POs, negotiating pricing, and supporting inventory control while ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency. This role requires strong communication and Excel skills in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years of purchasing, buyer, or materials planning experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from requisition to receipt, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Procure raw materials, MRO, and services at optimal cost and lead time.
• Monitor open orders and adjust delivery schedules to prevent shortages.
