Job summary

GCG Custom Engineered Solutions seeks a Buyer to join the procurement team. You will plan and purchase raw materials for cable assembly production, manage POs, and maintain target inventory levels to support on-time delivery.

You will work with internal teams and suppliers to optimize cost, lead times, and supplier performance while adhering to ERP processes. This role is remote-friendly with standard business hours in EST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in purchasing, buyer, or materials planning in manufacturing.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from requisition through receipt, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Procure raw materials, MRO, and services at optimal cost, quality, and lead time.
• Monitor open orders and adjust delivery schedules to prevent shortages.
• Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to align material availability with schedules.
• Resolve material issues including shortages, quality concerns, and supplier discrepancies.
